Diane Wilbon Parks is an accomplished poet, literary advocate and leader, an award-winning visual artist and a Prince George's County Poet of Excellence. Diane has published two collections of poetry and is a children's book author. She was brought in as an Expert Consultant to the National Trust for Historic Preservation through a National Endowment for the Arts Grant. She is the founder of The Write Blend, a culturally diverse poetry circle, and a member of the Voices of Woodlawn, an ensemble of 5 poets reckoning America's slaveholding past through poetry, music, and Diane's visual art. Her literary contributions have been featured on television, nationally and internationally on Blog Radio, in newsletters, online journals and magazines, as well as anthologies. Diane is a USAF Veteran and Sr. IT Program Manager. She resides in Maryland with her family.
