Rae Armantrout has published more than eighteen books of poetry, most with Wesleyan University Press. Her book Wobble was a finalist for the National Book Award in 2018. In 2010 Versed won the National Book Critics Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. Her poems are widely published in magazines and anthologies: The New Yorker, Lana Turner, Harpers, Liber, Poetry, New American Writing, The London Review of Books, etc. Her newest book, Go Figure, came out from Wesleyan in August of 2024. Mandana Chaffa, writing for The Chicago Review of Books, says "Armantrout loses none of her usual playfulness as she insistently probes for meaning in a time of catastrophes." And Booklist states that "This is classic Armantrout in the nature of its language and the depth of its thought. Poetry fans will want this." A Professor Emerita at the University of California at San Diego, Armantrout now lives in Everett, Washington.
